Want a way to WOW your holiday guests? Present your holiday treats in an edible Peppermint Bowl! Children can help by unwrapping candies, creating designs, and molding the candy into the shape.

Supplies:

  1. Starlight mints, unwrapped
  2. Baking sheet
  3. Parchment paper
  4. Bowls, plates, or tray to use as mold (heat resistant)
  5. Kitchen towel
  6. Yummy treats

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place parchment paper on baking sheet.
  3. Arrange starlight mints on parchement paper in desired pattern.
  4. Place mints in oven until mints are melted together (my small bowls took 6 minutes, the larger platter took 9 minutes).
  5. Remove baking sheet from the oven. Allow mints to cool for approximantely 2 minutes.

This is how the mints should look when they are melted together.

  6. Place mold upside down with a piece of parchment paper covering it.
  7. Using the parchment paper covering the mints to place them on top on the mold.
  8. Place a kitchen towel over the parchment paper to protect your hands from the heat of the hot candy.
  9. Use your hands to gently push the mints into the shape of the mold.
  10. Allow the mints to cool on the mold until they are warm. Carefully remove the mints from the mold and remove the parchment paper.
  11. Add yummy treats!

Warning: The peppermint bowls are fragile. Treat them as you would a glass bowl.
