Are your kids headed back to school soon? Are you looking for a last minute getaway with the family? Or, how about a weekend away from the hectic day to day schedule once school gets started? Snow Mountain Ranch, located between Winter Park and Granby, offers the perfect solution! The drive up to Snow Mountain Ranch is only about 2 hours, but it feels like you are a world away. There are lots of lodging chooses at Snow Mountain Ranch. We stayed in a Lodge which offers hotel-style rooms. There are also Cabins, campgrounds and even yurts to choose from. One of our favorite parts of visiting Snow Mountain Ranch are all of the activities, many of which are included with your stay. While at Snow Mountain Ranch we:
swam in the indoor pool
played mini-golf
roller skated
went on a hike to a waterfall
made walking sticks (a free program offered during our visit)
climbed on the indoor climbing wall (the only activity that was an additional fee - $5 per person)
and played ping-pong, foosball, played volleyball...and we still didn't do all the activities offered!
In addition to all the great activities listed above, we also got to experience the newest activity...Colorado's ONLY summer tubing hill! If all of the activities listed above don't get you to spend a weekend (or longer) at Snow Mountain Ranch, the summer tubing hill should! The tubing hill is SO MUCH FUN! Our family enjoyed every ride down the artificial snow...whether we were spinning, going straight, or even backwards! After an exhilarating ride down the bumpy hill, you catch a ride back to the top on the Magic Carpet to do it all over again. And, all of this tubing fun is including in your stay!

Tips for when you head up to Snow Mountain Ranch Summer Tubing Hill:
Call the Programs Department at: 970-887-2152, ext. 4135 to reserve your tubing time up to 3 days in advance. The summer tubing hill is very popular!
- Flip-flops are not allowed on the tubing hill.
- Helmets are available at no additional charge.
- Concessions and bathrooms are located at the top of the tubing hill.
- Tubing can not take place during heavy rains due to unsafe conditions.
