Water World

THE place to cool off!

By Marie Folmar, Macaroni Kid Broomfield publisher July 17, 2014
Have you been to Water World? It is one of my families FAVORITE place in the summer. It has been a couple years since we have visited, so I was SO excited to try out the Mile High Flyer. I must say, the water coaster is now my favorite ride! The Mile High Flyer is definetly a thrill ride. I had to close my eyes because I was afraid all the water crashing into us would float my contacts away. :) Looking to ride the rides this summer? Here are some tips:

  • We went to Water World on a day that was a little cooler (lower 80s) and a little overcast. This was perfect weather for walking all the hills around the park and it helped keep the lines for the rides short.
  • Lines are even shorter after brief rain showers. Lots of families choose to leave, but it is a water park...you are already wet! The lines were SUPER short after the shower.
  • On cooler days, stop by the warming pool to keep from getting too cold.
  • Pizza service at Pier 1 Pizza near the Captain Jack's Wave Pool ends at 2:30pm.
  • If you have younger children who can't help carry the big heavy rafts or if the lines are long, the TubeValet is worth every penny! TubeValet lets you skip the regular line and walk to an entry point near the loading zone for the ride. The person with the TubeValet bracelet MUST be in the tube. The TubeValet can only be used for ONE Express Entry on the Revolution and on the Mile High Flyer, but it can be used multiple times for Journey to the Center of the Earth, Lost River of the Pharaohs, and The Storm.
  • Most importantly, have fun!!!
