Helping Others: Holiday Campaign by Colorado Cleaning Solutions

Consider giving unused cleaning hours to a member of our senior community

By Shay Brase- Publisher, Macaroni KID Broomfield December 16, 2021

Our older veterans and aging neighbors are a a part of our communities often overlooked when it comes to everyday needs.

The generation(s) that raised us are now those who may be having a hard time physically managing the things they used to. There comes a point when doing the dishes, sweeping the front steps, and keeping a clean home become a more painstaking process than it used to be.

Sandra Nieto, owner of Colorado Cleaning Solutions, has a big heart for giving back to the senior community. Her (still growing) business has always given discounts to seniors, and gives two free house cleans each month to those who cannot manage a deep clean themselves or afford a cleaning service. This season, she is reaching out and asking clients to consider helping toward the cause as well.

Sandra is hoping to start a pay-it-forward type of program, and suggests that clients who have a little extra money to give this season might either pay up front for a house clean, or even a few extra hours of cleaning on top of their own that she can then use on an older citizen in need. Sandra works with Senior Hub in Thornton/Northglenn and keeps an ongoing list of people who could use the help. Of course, if you have a neighbor or relative in mind, that's wonderful, too!

What you can do:

First off, this is a no pressure situation, and there are so many ways to bless others. If you are in a place to use your finances to help others this season, this is a program being used to help the senior community. A few hours of cleaning to start the new year could be just the thing to lift someone's spirits and make a big difference in their lives. We all love to feel the kindness of others!

Visit Colorado Cleaning Solutions or call 720-892-7042 and speak with Sandra. She can help you figure out the best route for you and work within your budget. If you would like a cleaning yourself, consider paying for six hours and donating the other two(ish) to someone from Senior Hub or a retirement home close to you. If you have a neighbor that you'd like to help, you can work those details out together as well.

Happy Holidays from Colorado Cleaning Solutions!
