In cities across the U.S., vintage military aircraft rest quietly in museums, where school children and tourists admire them, take their pictures, and leave them behind closed doors at the end of each day. This September, aviation history blasts out of the museums and into the skies as the Commemorative Air Force thunders into Broomfield, Colorado. Sheltair Aviation will host American aviation history as the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) presents three restored WWII aircraft for public viewing and flights.
The mid-week visit features the legendary aircraft That’s All, Brother, the authentic C-47 Skytrain paratroop transport that led the allied airborne invasion over Normandy on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.
Fans can tour the various planes both inside and out, meet the pilots and crews, and even take a flight aboard one of the vintage aircraft. Flights in the Navy JRB transport start at only $150, or the co-pilot seat can be had for just $250!
Schedule of Events:
Cockpit tours will be conducted from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5th, and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday, September 6th and 7th, excluding flying times.
