• Understanding Dyslexia: Tools for Parents & Activities for Kids - Saturday, July 24, 10-11:30 am. Ages 18+. Registration required (through Broomfield Early Childhood Council). Parents will attend an information session with L2 Literacy & Learning to find out ways to prepare kids for reading, language based learning disabilities, signs and early identification of dyslexia, testing, and how to navigate the IEP process and special education at school. Fun literacy based games and activities will be provided for children 4+ while parents attend the session. Presented in collaboration with the Broomfield Library and the Broomfield Early Childhood Council. This program will take place outside in the Community Park shelter across from the tennis courts. Wear sunscreen and bring water. The Broomfield Library will provide snacks for kids and refreshments for adults. Weather permitting. Broomfield Public Health guidelines will be followed.
