Saturday, January 4: Superior's Asti Park Historical Museum Open
Asti Park Historical Museum | Superior

The Asti Park Historical Museum will be open the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Drop by to see the progress Superior has made towards restoring its historical collection!

Saturday, January 4:  Hammering on the Farm
Agricultural Heritage Center | Longmont

Drop by anytime from 10 a.m. to noon to watch the blacksmith work his craft. Listen to the clang-clang-clang of the hammer and the hum of the coal forge blower. Learn about blacksmithing tools, such as hammers, tongs, anvil, swage blocks, and more.

Sunday, January 4: Dungeons & Dragons Community Group | Broomfield
Broomfield Library | Broomfield

Slay dragons, befriend orcs, cast fireballs and live your best life with Dungeons & Dragons Gaming! Adventure awaits as you ignite your problem-solving skills and stretch your imagination while socializing with others who enjoy role playing games. This community group meets every other week at the Broomfield Library. This is a multi-generational program and recommended for ages 10 and up.

Monday, January 6: Winter on the Range: 2 Mile Walk
Beech Open Space/Sheleter | Longmont

Experience the magic of winter on the plains and learn how local wildlife adapts to the cold, snowy season. Knowledgeable naturalists will guide you on a 2-mile walk along a prairie dog colony, sharing insights into the fascinating behaviors of these creatures. Before the walk, cozy up under the shelter for an informative presentation about the unique ecology of the prairie. This program is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts of all ages.

Thursday, January 9:  Read to a Dog at Broomfield Library
Broomfield Library | Broomfield

Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade can build confidence and fluency in their abilities by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and the dogs will listen without correcting or judging. Sign up in the Children's Library starting at 3:45 p.m. on the day of the program. Space may be limited.
