Supplies:
- Starlight mints, unwrapped
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Bowls, plates, or tray to use as mold (heat resistant)
- Kitchen towel
- Yummy treats
Directions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place parchment paper on baking sheet.
- Arrange starlight mints on parchement paper in desired pattern.
- Place mints in oven until mints are melted together (my small bowls took 6 minutes, the larger platter took 9 minutes).
- Remove baking sheet from the oven. Allow mints to cool for approximantely 2 minutes.
This is how the mints should look when they are melted together. - Place mold upside down with a piece of parchment paper covering it.
- Using the parchment paper covering the mints to place them on top on the mold.
- Place a kitchen towel over the parchment paper to protect your hands from the heat of the hot candy.
- Use your hands to gently push the mints into the shape of the mold.
- Allow the mints to cool on the mold until they are warm. Carefully remove the mints from the mold and remove the parchment paper.
- Add yummy treats!
Warning: The peppermint bowls are fragile. Treat them as you would a glass bowl.
