Free Tours
  • Celestial Seasonings 4600 Sleepytime Drive, Boulder                                                                                        Take a fragrant tour through this local factory that turns individual ingredients into delicious tea blends. Children must be 5 and older to go on the factory tour. Younger children can take part in additional activities while they wait with a parent. Tours are available from 10am-4pm Monday through Saturday, and 11am-3pm on Sunday and start with a video introduction before the 30 minute factory tour.
  • Hammond's Candies 5735 N Washington St, Denver                                                                                              Watch and learn how hard candy is made the old-fashioned way! Tours begin with a short-video and then move into the candy making section of the facility and enjoy a sweet treat at the end. Tours run every half-hour on Monday -  Friday 10am-3pm, Saturday 11am - 3pm.     

Museums
  • CU Museum of Natural History Henderson Building, 15th and Broadway, Boulder                                          Take a trek back in time with the Steps in Stone, Walking Through History exhibit. Discover how animals moved across the land and how their tracks became fossils. Volunteers will be on hand with a Discovery Cart from 10am-2pm on Tuesday, March 24th and Thursday, March 26th. You can even make your own track to take home! The museum is open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Admission: Adults - $3, Children 6 through 18 - $1, Under 6 - FREE
  • Denver Art Museum 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver                                                                                               This year’s Spring Break: Painting Dreams theme explores painting dreams with artmaking, special performances by Buntport Theater, Create-n-Takes and bilingual storytelling in the galleries. All activities included with general admission and all kids 18 and under are FREE from March 21 to April 5. The museum is open Tuesday-Thursday 10am-5pm, Friday 10am-8pm, and Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm. Admission: Colorado resident adult - $10
  • Denver Museum of Nature and Science 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver                                                                    Explore the new exhibit: Mythic Creatures - Dragons, Unicorns, and Mermaids which opens March 20th and is included in the price of admission. The museum is open 9am-5pm seven days a week. Admission: Adult - $14.95, Junior (3-18) - $9.95.
  • History Colorado Center 1200 Broadway, Denver                                                                                                  Take your kids on a trip to the past with the 1968 exhibit at the History Colorado Center. Photographs, artifacts, and interactive activities transport you back to a pivotal year in American History. The museum is open daily form 10am-5om. Admission: Adults - $12, Students (12-22 with a Student ID) - $10, Children (6-12) - $8, under 6 - FREE 
  • The Money Museum 1020 6th St, Denver                                                                                                                       Do you know what the Federal Reserve is and what it does? Learn about it at The Money Museum. You can also design your own money, and see what $30 million looks like! The museum is open for self-guided, FREE tours on Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
  • WOW! Museum 110 N. Harrison Ave, Lafayette                                                                                                               Join the WOW! Museum as they celebrate NanoDays, celebrating the science of the small! Explore how to make things invisible, investigate new nano products and materials, make nano crafts to keep, and launch nano particles with an air cannon! Drop in any time from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Organized by NISE Net, NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering. This program is included with Museum admission. Admission: Children 1-11: $9, all others: FREE!
