Homemade
Pom-Pom
Supplies:
Paper Towel Tube
Curling Ribbon

Construction paper
Duck tape 
Scissors

Directions:
  1. Cut two notches across from each other on the top and bottom edges of the paper towel tube. 
  2. Wrap the curling ribbon around the length of the paper towel tube (use the notches in the tube to hold the ribbon in place). Wrap as many times as desired. Reminder - the more times you wrap the ribbon, the fuller the pom-poms will be.
  3. When you are happy with the amount of curling ribbon on the tube, cut the ribbon that is between the two top notches.
  4. Carefully pull the ribbon off the tube while keeping the bottom ribbon held together.
  5. Wrap the construction paper around the bottom half of the curling ribbon.
  6. Wrap duck tape around the construction paper. 
  7. Decorate as desired.

Colored Rice Noise Maker

Supplies:
Rice
Seal-able Plastic Baggies (one for each color used)
Food Coloring
Hand Sanitizer - gel
Wax Paper
Plastic Bottle (such as a water or soda bottle)
Duck Tape

Directions:
  1. Place about five drops of the hand sanitizer into the bottom of a plastic baggies. 
  2. Add five drops of food coloring into the same baggie.
  3. Squish the hand sanitizer and food coloring to mix.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each color desired.
  5. Pour rice into the baggie. Seal the bag and shake the rice to completely coat with the food coloring.
  6. Pour the colored rice onto a wax paper lined baking sheet.
  7. Allow the rice to dry for several hours.
  8. Use the wax paper as a funnel to pour the colored rice into the plastic bottle.
  9. Seal the lid of the water bottle onto the water bottle with duck tape.

Now, you and your kids will be ready to cheer on the home team!
