The fire danger has put a halt to some of the ususal fireworks displays around Denver but there are still plenty of great places to watch the sky light up!
July 4th
The Great American Picnic at the Broomfield County Commons
The fun begins at 5:30 pm with pony rides and inflatables followed by two concerts. After the concerts stay and enjoy the fireworks which are scheduled to begin around 9:30 pm.
4th Fest at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City
Outdoor festivities kickoff at 5 p.m. with a circus, karaoke, 80s band, zip line, mechanical bull, climbing wall and many other activities for all to enjoy. The Colorado Rapids take on the Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7:30 p.m. (tickets purchased through the Rapids) while the free festivities continue outside. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
Fireworks at Elitch Gardens
Spend the day riding the rides or floating in their wave pool. Spend the evening watching their fabulous fireworks show beginning around 10:00 pm
Denver Outlaws Firework Game
The Denver Outlaws will hold their annual Independence Day Celebration game on Wednesday, July 4 at 7 p.m. MDT at Sports Authority Field at Mile High against the Ohio Machine. The the Outlaws offer a unique close-proximity experience with fireworks launched from inside the bowl at Sports Authority Field. The fireworks are paired with a music video tribute on the stadium’s 97-foot wide THUNDERVISION screen.
July 4th Family Festival in Northglenn
The city of Northglenn is hosting its signature event, the July
4th Family Festival, on Independence Day. This free celebration will be held at E.B.
Rains Jr. Memorial Park, located across the street from City Hall at 11701 Community
Center Drive.
The event has been described as a big family picnic, so come prepared to spend
the day in the park and enjoy its activities! Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 pm.
4th of July Celebration in Thornton
The fun begins at 5 pm at Colorado Blvd and 108th Ave at the Thornton Multipurpose Fields. Beer Garden and Food Vendors, Thornton Community Band, Longmont Symphony Orchestra, Parachute Jump. As soon as the parachutists land the fireworks with start approximately 9:30 pm
