Almond Pretzels with M&Ms

A simple kid-friendly treat for the holiday season!

Do you need a sweet and salty treat for the holiday season?  A treat your kids can help with? Plus a treat where they can learn or practice their counting?  Well, look no further; here is a treat with only three ingredients.

You will need:

  • Round pretzels
  • Plain M&Ms
  • Almond Bark
  • Microwave bowl
  • Spoon
  • Wax paper
  • Storage container

Line your counter or table with the wax paper.  While you melt the almond bark in the microwave (30 seconds at a time on full power), have the kids layout the pretzels on the wax paper.  Once the almond bark is melted use a spoon to fill the center of each pretzel with the melted goodness.  As you fill each pretzel have the kids add two or more M&Ms to each pretzel center.  Allow to cool and store in a holiday dish.

Another version:

You can also use two thin pretzel sticks instead of the round ones.  If you do, just lay the two sticks close together and place the melted almond bark in the center of both and place the M&Ms on top. My aunt calls this version 'Bacon and Eggs.'

No matter what version you make, be forewarned, these treats are addicting.
